STONY BROOK, N.Y. - For the first time since November 7, 2019, the Stony Brook football team has received votes in the latest FCS Top 25 poll, as announced by the AFCA on Monday.

The Seawolves were one of eight teams in the CAA that received votes in the poll. Villanova led the way at No. 5 in the poll, followed by William & Mary at No. 12 and UAlbany rounding out the top-25 CAA teams at No. 22. Elon, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Richmond were among other league members receiving votes in the AFCA poll.

Stony Brook is coming off its second straight victory after an impressive comeback Saturday afternoon at Fordham. The Seawolves return to action this Saturday, September 21 at Campbell.
