Our third annual Breast Cancer Awareness event was a resounding success, raising critical awareness about breast cancer and HPV. Attendees heard a powerful story from a breast cancer survivor, gained valuable insights into breast cancer prevention, and learned about the connection between HPV and cancer. Renowned speakers Dr. Rekha Reddy, Ashley Cervino, and Annalea Trask shared their expertise and inspired attendees. To show our support, we encouraged students to participate in the campus-wide Courage, Hope, and Strength: Stony Brook’s Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on October 9th by creating colorful tutus. The event was a powerful reminder of the importance of early detection, prevention, and supporting those affected by breast cancer.
