Martha Barrett won all three of her singles and doubles matches in leading the Stony Brook women's tennis team to a sweep of its matches at the Seawolves Classic Friday and Saturday. Stony Brook beat Manhattan and Drexel, 6-1, and shutout crosstown rival Hofstra, 7-0.
Barrett defeated Drexel's Yolanda Duron, 6-3, 6-1 and Hofstra's Kristin Robert, 6-3, 6-1. Both victories came at #1 singles for the senior. The Seawolves lost just one set against Drexel and won every set versus Hofstra.
Other triple winners on the weekend included Georgia Bushell, Deanna Ghozati, Olesya Ianovitch and Alyssa Schnell.
The Seawolves head to Penn for the Rolex Invitational Oct. 26-29 to conclude the fall season.
