The Seawolves men's team earned a 7-0 victory over Lehigh on Sunday, sweeping all six singles matches, while the women's team eked out a 4-3 victory
Lehigh's only win of the day came in No. 1 doubles, as the team of Ryan Cann and Matt Dankner pulled out the victory against Stony Brook's Jens Pillgram-Larsen and Egil Anonsen 9-7. Lehigh dropped the other two doubles matches, resulting in Stony Brook taking the point for best two of three in doubles.
Stony Brook took the sweep in singles play, winning all six matches. The Seawolves dropped just one set in singles play, with Pillgram-Larsen defeated Ryan Cann, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 1 spot. Egil Anonsen defeated Ty Esler at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 7-6, and Philippe Amireault won 6-1, 6-2, at No. 4 singles.
The women's decision came down to the No. 6 singles match, which Deanna Ghozati captured, 7-6, 7-6, to seal the win for the Seawolves. No. 2 Patricia Gomez won, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 and Georgia Bushell earned a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles. The Seawolves also captured the doubles point with wins by Gomez and Martha Barrett at No. 1, and Bushell and Ghozati at No. 3.
