Several Seawolves enjoyed first-place finishes at the Stony Brook Invitational on Dec. 8.
In women's action, Dana Shepherd captured the 55m with a time of 7.30, while Corinne Leake was victorious in the 600m with a time of 1:39.1. Jackie Berman won the 1600m, posting a time of 5:16.8. The women's team also captured both relay events. Shepherd, Thompson, Williams and Leake won the 4 x 2 in 3:53.1, while Baker, Nathaniel, Gengo and Berman won the 4 x 4 in 9:15.1.
In field events, Abigail Nathaniel won the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 2 1/2 inches.
In men's action, Marcell Coley and Jonathan Brims each enjoyed victories. Coley won the 300m in 37.5, while Brims placed first in the 1000m with a time of 2:37.8. The team of DelGiorno, Tue, St. Jean and Moore won the 4 x 2 in 3:16.9, while Katz, Coley, Smolinski and Hunt posted a victory in the 4 x 4 with a time of 7:48.7.
Craig Matuza swept the weight throw and shot put with tosses of 16.70m and 15.41m, respectively. Omar Moore was victorious in the long jump with a 17 feet, 3 1/2 inch jump.
