The Stony Brook men's tennis team earned its first dual match victory of the season as the Seawolves defeated Boston University, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon. The women's team fell to the Terriers, 7-0.
Stony Brook (1-2) picked up four singles matches and the doubles point. Mike Crooks won at No. 2 singles and also captured No. 1 doubles with Egil Anonsen. Jean-Francois Robitaille also won both of his matches, winning at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles with David Hewitt. Hewitt also captured a victory at No. 5 singles, while Philippe Amireault captured the win at No. 6 singles.
The women's team (0-1) did not fare as well in its first dual match of the season. The Seawolves fell to BU by a score of 7-0.
