Women's Tennis Tops Sacred Heart 5-2

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's tennis team improved to 4-4 on the season with a 5-2 victory over Sacred Heart on Wednesday afternoon on the Stony Brook campus.

The Seawolves took the doubles point as the teams of Valle/Bushell (8-4) and Conching/Vasile (8-5) captured No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, respectively.

In singles action, Anne Cathrine Valle won at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1, Georgia Bushell captured No. 2, 6-4, 0-6, 6-0, Lauren Conching took No. 3, 6-1, 6-2, and Victoria Vasile won at No. 4, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, to give the Seawolves the match.

SB returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Hartford at noon.
