Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium will be the place to be on Saturday, November 12, 2005, as two Stony Brook teams will play for their respective conference championships.
At 1:00 p.m., head coach Sam Kornhauser will lead his football team out onto the field for the final time at Stony Brook, as it will be his final home game as head coach after a 22-year tenure at the helm of the Seawolves. Stony Brook (5-4, 4-2) takes on Central Connecticut (7-3,5-1) in a game that will decide the Northeast Conference Football Champion. With a win, the Seawolves would share the title with the Blue Devils. Come out and support the Seawolves and Coach Kornhauser in his final game at Stony Brook.
Tickets for the game are available at the Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium ticket window at Gate 2 or by calling the ticket office at 631-632-WOLF. Admission to the game is $7 for general admission and $10 for chairback seats. Stony Brook students will be admitted free with vaild student id.
At 7:00 p.m., the men's soccer team will take its shot at earning its first ever NCAA College Cup berth, as the Seawolves take on Binghamton in the America East Championship game. Stony Brook (12-4-3) is the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will square off with rival Binghamton (12-4-3), the No. 3 seed. The Seawolves advanced to the finals after topping Albany, 2-1, in overtime thanks to a Chris Megaloudis goal seven minutes into the extra frame.
Tickets for the game are available on Wednesday starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium ticket window at Gate 2. Admission to the game is $6 for adults and $2 for non-Stony Brook students, senior citizens and children 18 and under. Stony Brook students will be admitted free with vaild student id.
