Hamilton, N.Y. -
The Seawolves put up a tremendous battle, but the Stony Brook women's tennis team fell to Colgate, 4-3, on Friday evening. The Seawolves fall to 5-6 on the year after the loss.
After dropping all three doubles matches to open play, Stony Brook rallied to singles wins by Hana Chovanova (6-3, 6-3) at No. 2, Monica Myers (6-4, 4-6, 6-4) at No. 4 and Rachel Kimelman (6-2, 6-1) at No. 6, but it was not enough as Colgate was able to split the singles points with wins at the No. 1, 3 and 5 spots in the lineup.
The Seawolves are back in action tomorrow when they play Quinnipiac at 5 p.m.
