The Stony Brook women's tennis team earned a split of its matches on Saturday, topping Providence 4-0 while falling to Binghamton 4-3 to move to 9-7 on the season.
The Seawolves cruised two a pair of 8-0 victories to earn the doubles point vs. the Friars, as the teams of Anne Cathrine Valle / Sandy Wijeratne won at No. 1 and Hana Chovanova and Monica Myers earned the victory at No. 2.
SB then captured three singles matches, getting wins from Chovanova at No. 1, Wijeratne at No. 2 and Myers at No. 3.
Binghamton captured the doubles point after sweeping all three matches.
The two teams split the singles matches, as Valle won 6-4, 7-6 at No. 2, Wijeratne earned a 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 3 and Rachel Kimelman crusied to a 6-1, 6-3 win.
