Amy Gosztyla, the Seawolves' assistant track and cross country coach, captured the women's title in the 20th annual JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge. Over 7,000 particpants from 241 companies made the trip to Jones Beach shoreline for the race.
Gosztyla finished the race with a time of 20:27, besting her closest competitor by over one minute. Jose Zayas of Super Runners Shop took the men's title with a time of 17:53.
2002 Olympic figure skating gold medalist Sarah Hughes was the celebrity starter for the event. The race that benefits the Boulton Center for the Performing Arts of the Great South Bay YMCA, the Center for Developmental Disabilities, and Family Residences and Essential Enterprises.
