Stony Brook, N.Y. - Congratulations to Tommy Zheng, the winner of the 2005-06 PACK Scholarship. Tommy, a member of the PACK student fan group at Stony Brook, won a free throw shooting contest at last night's men's basketball game versus Hartford to win a free semester's worth of in-state tuition.

The tuition scholarship was generously provided by the Stony Brook Alumni Association and is valued at over $2000. The scholarship giveaway at last night's men's basketball game culminated six months of events where Stony Brook students who are members of the student fan group, The PACK, had the opportunity to win the scholarship by attending games and participating in halftime competitions.

Tommy out shot fellow PACK members Alex Kissel, Dan Piastuck and Mazharul Islam, making a free throw in the second round of attempts as all four contestants missed their first shot.
