The Stony Brook women's tennis team fell to St. John's 4-3 on Friday afternoon. With the loss the Seawolves fall to 5-4 on the season. Senior captain Anne Cathrine Valle remained undefeated at No. 1 singles for Stony Brook.
After dropping the doubles point, the Seawolves battled to split the six singles matches, but fell just short. Valle continued her perfect season at No. 1 singles, with the 7-5, 6-0 win. Sandy Wijeratne was victorious at No. 2, 0-6, 7-5, 6-1 and Victoria Vovsha won at No. 6 singles, 7-5, 2-6, 10-7.
The women return to action on Wednesday, March 5 when they host Hofstra. The match is scheduled to start at 3:00 P.M.
