The Stony Brook women's tennis teamed rolled to a 6-1 victory over Sacred Heart on Thursday afternoon. The Seawolves won five of six singles matches to improve to 6-4 in dual match play.
Stony Brook grabbed the doubles point, as Anne Cathrine Valle and Sandy Wijeratne won at No. 1 doubles, 8-0, and Hana Chovanova and Victoria Vovsha cruised at No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
The Seawolves would then win five of the six singles matches to claim the 6-1 win. The only singles loss that Stony Brook would suffer was when Valle was forced to retire due to an ankle injury.
Stony Brook returns to action on April 9, when they hit the road to open up America East play at UMBC.
