Stony Brook, N.Y. -
Several Stony Brook student-athletes were key members of the 2006 Stony Brook University Welcome Wagon throughout the day on Sunday. The annual Stony Brook tradition assisted incoming freshmen with move-in on their first day as a member of the Class of 2010.
The Seawolves fanned out all over campus to assist newcomers with their move into the residence halls. Members of several teams all helped carry refrigerators, desks, clothes and much, much more as they introduced freshmen to one of the Top 100 Universities in the nation, according to the US News and World Report.
The move-in was made easier thanks to a beautiful sunny day and a light atmosphere as the student-athletes enjoyed meeting their fellow Stony Brook students.
The event marked the beginning of the 2006-07 academic year as students arrived in preparation for the start of classes on Wednesday.
