Stony Brook, N.Y. -
The Stony Brook women's tennis team fell to Binghamton, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon. With the loss in their regular season finale, the women fall to 10-6 on the year.
Binghamton swept all three doubles matches to claim the point and grab an early 1-0 lead. In singles, Paola Rodolfi topped Zaynel Altinay, 3-6, 6-0, 12-10, at the No. 1 spot. This marked the first time a Seawolf has topped Altinay in four years. Erica Federgreen claimed the other Stony Brook point as she bested Juliane Uneki, 4-6, 7-6, 10-7, at No. 3 singles.
The women return to action this weekend when they travel to Yale to compete in the America East Championships.
