Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University Director of Athletics, Jim Fiore, has been named to the Board of Directors of the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) the group announced this week. It will be his first term on the board and he will serve as the NCAA Division I administrator.

The USILA is an organization comprised of member colleges and universities which sponsor intercollegiate lacrosse for men. The USILA is entrusted to enhance and develop intercollegiate lacrosse by providing leadership, management, and services to its membership so that student-athletes, coaches, and other constituent groups will realize the maximum benefit from the sport of lacrosse. The organization oversees the officiating program for NCAA Division I, II and III men's lacrosse, as well as the operation of the North/South All-Star game, All-America and academic All-America recognition programs and the weekly coaches' poll.
