Stony Brook to Host Youth Sports Clinic on Saturday

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Looking for something fun for your 6-11 year old on Saturday? If you are, then Stony Brook University's Department of Athletics has just the thing for you. It will host a youth sports clinic on Saturday starting at 10:45 a.m. For just $5.00 boys and girls ages 6-11 will be able to participate in a number of fun activities and sports stations that will feature current Stony Brook student-athletes. Space is still available for this fun-filled event. Reserve a spot now by calling Jordan Vardell at 631-632-9556. After the fun of the clinic participants will then get to attend the Stony Brook vs. Albany women's basketball game to finish off an exciting day of fun.

Saturday's clinic, which will celebrate the National Girls and Women in Sports Day, opens its registration at 10:45 a.m. At 11:00 a.m. the clinic will begin, featuring fun activities that will involve Seawolf student-athletes, Stony Brook's mascot Wolfie, and sports such as basketball, football, soccer, track & field and volleyball. At 1:15 all participants will be treated to a free lunch before getting admitted to the SBU women's basketball game. All participants will also receive a free Stony Brook t-shirt and a goodie bag.
