Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University's women's tennis team did not drop a set on its way to an easy 9-0 win over Marist at University Courts on Saturday afternoon. It was the first home match of the spring for the Seawolves.

Stony Brook (8-2) started the match out by easily earning the doubles point. Senior Paola Rodolfi (Asuncion, Paraguay) and sophomore Prerana Appineni (Hyderabad, India) won, 8-6, at No. 1 while sophomore Anna Pieschl (Gothenburg, Sweden) and freshman Aylin Mehter (Massapequa, N.Y.) coasted to an 8-0 victory at No. 2. At No. 3, junior Fanny Charliquart (Gueugnon, France) and sophomore Katherine Hanson (Smithtown, N.Y.) also won, 8-0.

SBU carried that momentum to singles as freshman Nini Lagvilava (Tbilisi, Georgia) defeated Kelsey Raynor, 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot while Rodolfi won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2. Pieschl won a first-set tiebreaker at No. 3 before coasting to a 6-1 win in the second set.

Appineni won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 while Mehter cruised to the win, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5. Junior Gayatri Krishnan (Chennai, India) and Charliquart both did not lose at game at Nos. 6 and 8, respectively, while Hanson dropped just one game at No. 7.

Stony Brook returns to action on Monday, traveling to take on Lehigh.
