Greensboro, N.C. - The NCAA East Regional Championships are over and juniors Lucy and Holly Van Dalen (Wanganui, New Zealand) have advanced to the University of Oregon in the 1,500 and 5,000 meters, respectively.

Lucy ran a 4:18.89 in the semifinals in the first heat of the evening. The top five from each of the two semifinal heats plus the next best two times advanced to Oregon.

In the second heat of the 5,000, Holly finished in 16:25.55, good for second place. The top five from each of the two semifinal heats plus the next best two times also advanced to Oregon.

The semifinals of the 1,500 are scheduled for 5 pm on Thursday, June 10. The finals of the 5,000 are slated for 6:40 pm on Friday, June 11.
