Eugene, Ore. - Juniors Lucy Van Dalen and Holly Van Dalen (Wanganui, New Zealand) will be competing at the NCAA Championships, beginning with Lucy in a 1,500 semifinal today at 8 pm eastern. Holly will be running the 5,000 final at 9:45 pm on Friday.

24 athletes are competing in each semifinal of the 1,500. The top five in each heat plus the next two fastest times not in the top five advance to the finals on Saturday afternoon at 1:18 pm. Lucy will be running in heat one.

CBS is expected to broadcast the final live.

Holly qualified for the 5,000 final after finishing eighth at the East Regionals in Greenboro.
