College Station, Texas - Senior Holly Van Dalen (Wanganui, New Zealand) was among the top three runners with 800 meters to go in the 5000 at the NCAA Championships on Friday night, but dehydration set in and Van Dalen was unable to finish.

"Holly has had some fantastic performances in the red of Stony Brook," head coach Andy Ronan said. "Unfortunately, Holly was unable to finish, but a lot more from her is still to come.

Holly's twin sister, Lucy, will be competing in the 3000 tomorrow evening, as she's among the favorites to win the event. The 3K is scheduled to start 6:40 p.m. local time.
