Columbia Last Chance Meet | ECAC Championships | IC4A Championships

Senior Lucy Van Dalen (Wanganui, New Zealand) ran the fastest mile in the country at Columbia's Last Chance Meet at the Armory. Van Dalen, who has ran the fastest time in the mile and the 3000, recorded a new school record with a time of 4:32.95. The All-American in cross country will run the 3000 at next week's NCAA Championships at Texas A&M.
Lucy's twin sister, Holly, automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 5000, Her time of 15:56.82 was more than 10 seconds below the automatic standard of 16:07.50.
During the ECACs, freshman Olivia Burne (Palmerston North, New Zealand) qualified for Sunday's final in the mile, running a 4:53.58. Junior Page Price (Tampa, Fla.) also qualified for a final on Sunday, finished second in heat two of the 1000 (2:53.07). Junior Kristal Conklin (Middletown, N.Y.) nearly qualified for the final in the 1000, taking third with a time of 2:53.49.
At the IC4As, senior Alex Felce (Stroud, England) just missed out of the final in the 1000, settling for third with a time of 2:25.97.
