Senior Lucy Van Dalen (Wanganui, New Zealand) won the 1500 by more than six seconds at the Kent Taylor-Joe Hilton Invite hosted by the University of North Carolina on Saturday.
Van Dalen ran the third fastest 1500 (4:17.12) this season. Freshman Olivia Burne (Palmerston North, New Zealand) took third in the same event (4:29.69).
Junior Page Price (Tampa, Fla.) finished sixth in the 800 with a time of 2:14.98. Also placing in the top 10 was junior Patricia Barry (Tipperary, Ireland), who took seventh in the 3000 (10:11.59).
Junior Gerard Harley (Setauket, N.Y.) also had a nice day, running an 8:36.12 in the 3000, good for second place. Freshman Daniel Denis (Bayport, N.Y.) placed fifth in the 3000 (8:39.27).
