Providence, R.I. - The Stony Brook women's team dropped a 6-1 decision to the No. 40 Brown Bears on Friday night. The Seawolves fall to 4-5 with the loss.

Senior Katherine Hanson (Smithtown, N.Y.) picked up Stony Brook's only point of the day, defeating Sarah Kandath 6-4, 7-6 (6).

The Seawolves return to action on March 29, hosting Fairfield.
