Bethlehem, Pa. - The Stony Brook women's tennis team continued its impressive start to the season with 6-1 victories over Seton Hall and Lehigh.

The Seawolves won five of the six singles flights against the Pirates in addition to earning the doubles point.  Freshman Kristina Vozniak (Kiev, Ukraine) and sophomore Adey Osabuohien (Hazel Crest, Ill.) each claimed three-set tiebreakers.  Senior Polina Movchan (Kiev, Ukraine), freshman Elizabeth Tsvetkov (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and junior Louise Badoche (Paris, France) were impressive in straight-set wins.

The doubles point was won with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 against Seton Hall.

The duo of Badoche and Osabuohien got Stony Brook off to a good start against Lehigh with an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.  After earning the doubles point, Badoche got singles play off on the right path with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles.  

Movchan followed that up with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2.  

Vozniak again rallied for a three-set victory at No. 1 singles, winning 6-2 in the final set.  

Senior Cassandra Dix (Northamptonshire, United Kingdom) and junior Becky Shtilkind (Brooklyn, N.Y.) captured singles wins at No. 5 and 6, respectively.

Stony Brook kicks off America East Conference play at Hartford on February 28.
