Stony Brook tops Binghamton, 5-2

Hamden, Conn. - The Stony Brook women's tennis team won its fourth straight match with a 5-2 win over Binghamton Saturday at Quinnipiac. The Seawolves moved to 9-1 in 2015.

The duo of junior Louise Badoche (Paris, France) and sophomore Nadia Smergut (New York, N.Y.) continued their strong doubles play with an 8-2 win at No. 1.

Smergut and Badoche picked up singles wins at No. 3 and 6, respectively.

Senior Polina Movchan (Kiev, Ukraine) dominated singles play at the top of the lineup with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 1.

Sophomore Adey Osabuohien (Hazel Crest, Ill.) rallied for a three-set victory at No. 4 singles.

Stony Brook will head to the Bronx to face Fordham on Monday afternoon. With a win over the Rams, the Seawolves will have won at least 10 games for a seventh straight season.
