STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- Stony Brook Athletics has announced a dynamic three-year agreement with Connoisseur Media Long Island, Long Island's premier media cluster, to broadcast Seawolves' football and men's basketball games beginning in the fall of 2015.
Over the next three seasons, 94.3 The Shark will air all regular and postseason Stony Brook Football games. The broadcast schedule with Connoisseur Media Long Island begins on September 3 when the Seawolves open the 2015 football season at Toledo.
The entire 2015-16 Stony Brook Men's Basketball season will be broadcast on WHLI 1370 AM.
"One of our primary objectives is to build the Stony Brook brand on a local, regional and national level," said Stony Brook Director of Athletics Shawn Heilbron. "We will now have a significant platform to promote the Seawolves in our backyard of Long Island and beyond thanks to this partnership."
The radio agreement is the most comprehensive in the history of Stony Brook athletics, marking the first time that all football and men's basketball games will air live on a commercial radio station. In addition to the large radio broadcast coverage area, Connoisseur Media Long Island also provides live streaming on all station websites, including WHLI.com, K983.com, WALKradio.com, 1031maxfm.com and 943TheShark.com, so fans around the world can listen via computer or mobile device.

The radio partnership also extends to the Seawolves game day experience. This fall, Stony Brook Athletics will unveil Seawolves Town, Long Island's premier tailgate venue. Connoisseur Media Long Island and 94.3 The Shark will be on site in Seawolves Town to share the Seawolves Football excitement with all of Long Island.
