The Stony Brook women's tennis team picked up wins over Lehigh and LIU Brooklyn this past weekend.
Sophomore Elizabeth Tsvetkov (Brooklyn, N.Y.) earned a pair of straight-set wins at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles, freshman Devanshi Bhimjiyani (Rajkot, India) won both of her matches. She outlasted Lehigh's Grace Lin, 6-1, in the third set and defeated LIU Brooklyn's Malin Leysen, 7-5, 6-2.
Freshman Anne-Kathrin Hierl (Haan, Germany) earned a 6-1, 6-0 win over LIU Brooklyn's Rianne van Son. Freshman Ana Carrion Rodriguez (La Linea, Spain) defeated Lehigh's Abby Duddy, 6-3, 6-2.
The Seawolves won 10 of their 12 singles matches and 5 of 6 doubles.
Stony Brook will head to Rhode Island on February 26 for matches against Bryant and Brown.
