Providence, R.I. - The Stony Brook women's tennis team split its two matches Friday and Saturday, defeating Bryant, 4-3, before falling to No. 52 Brown, 5-2.

The Seawolves (3-2) rallied after dropping the doubles point, taking four of the six singles flights.  Up 3-2 after freshman Devanshi Bhimjiyani (Rajkot, India) won 6-3, 7-6 at No. 2 singles, Bryant tied the match at three.  Senior Louise Badoche (Paris, France) clinched the match with a 7-5, 7-5 win at No. 6 singles.

Sophomores Elizabeth Tsvetkov (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Yana Nikolaeva (Thornhill, Ontario) clamied a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles, but Stony Brook trailed 1-0 entering singles against Brown.

Nikolaeva and senior Becky Shtilkind (Brooklyn, N.Y.) captured singles victories for the Seawolves against the Bears.

Stony Brook will have compete against Yale and Siena next weekend.
