Philadelphia – A contingent from the Stony Brook outdoor track & field teams competed Thursday and Friday at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia. The Seawolves saw three athletes – junior Christine Eisenberg (Hauppauge, N.Y.), sophomore Michael Watts (Islip, N.Y.) and sophomore Danny Connelly (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) – achieve ECAC/IC4A standards in their respective events.

"The Distance group took advantage of the competition and conditions to produce three quality performances. Our relay teams competed hard and gained good experience for future events."

Highlights
- Eisenberg won the college section of the women’s 3000m steeplechase in an ECAC-qualifying time of 10:41.63.
- Watts won his section of the men’s 5000m in an IC4A-standard time of 14:33.06, while Connelly clocked in at 14:38.93 to achieve the IC4A standard in his first 5K under 14:40.
