Eisenberg runs in NCAA First Round

May 27, 2016

Jacksonville, Fla. - Stony Brook track & field junior Christine Eisenberg (Hauppauge, N.Y.) competed Friday in the first round of the NCAA Championships, finishing 26th out of 48 in the women’s 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:28.58.

“The goal coming in was to achieve two things: build on the ECAC performance and gain experience for next year,” said head coach Andy Ronan. “Both were achieved in style. Christine competed every step of the way against quality competition and in humid conditions. I would expect this experience to help her reach her full potential next year.”

Eisenberg finished eighth out of 16 in the second of three heats. Her run Friday concludes the 2015-16 season for the Seawolves. Be sure to check StonyBrookAthletics.com as the fall approaches for the 2016 cross country schedule.
