STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Junior
Kylie Ohlmiller (Islip, N.Y.) had a career day for the Stony Brook women's lacrosse team, as she tallied seven goals and five assists in No. 6/7 Stony Brook's 20-5 win over Bryant Saturday afternoon at LaValle Stadium. With the victory, the Seawolves improve to 2-0, while the Bulldogs fall to 0-1.
Ohlmiller's 12 points were the second-most in a game in program history, while the Seawolves' 18 assists as a team broke the program record of 16 achieved in 2007 and 2015.
Coach Spallina's Take
"We had a great two weeks of practice and got back to our identity – a hard-working, blue-collar team. We have to understand what makes us work. I think I had their full attention after a close game with Towson.
"There was a great attention to detail from our team today. We scored some beautiful goals, but they were a product of us making simple, smart plays, outworking and outhustling teams and being really tough all over the field."
