Stony Brook heads to Illinois for Missouri Valley Conference Championship

 Stony Brook, N.Y. – The Stony Brook men's tennis team will travel to Normal, Ill. for the Missouri Valley Conference Championships. 
 
Illinois State, the five seed, will host the tournament. The Seawolves are coming into the tournament 9-5 on the year and off of a three match win streak. 
 
The Seawolves, the fourth seed, will face of will Illinois State on Friday, April 28th at 12:00 p.m. 
 
Senior Raphael Termat (Nice, France) is 10-1 at the No.1 and is currently ranked 121st in the ITA National Rankings. 
 
Sophomore Samuel Taieb (Triel-Sur-Seine, France), a MVC Honorable Mention All- Academic, is 9-5 at the No.2. 
 
Sophomore Rodrigo Hadlich (Balneario Camboriu, Brazil, a MVC First Team All- Academic, has been strong at the No. 3 and No. 4 singles posting an 8-4 record.  
 
Senior Tyler Hoffman (Sayville, N.Y.) and Hadlich are 8-5 at the No.1 doubles.
 
Termat and Taieb have been strong at the No.2 doubles posting a 10-1 record.  
 
"Both squads are very excited to compete in the MVC Championship this weekend. This is what we've been training for since the end of August. It should be a great tournament and we're looking forward to the first round tomorrow," said head coach Gary Glassman.
