Nine Seawolves score as No. 4 Stony Brook downs UMass Lowell on Senior Day

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Nine players scored and six had at least three points as the No. 4 Stony Brook women's lacrosse team defeated UMass Lowell, 20-4, on Senior Day Saturday at LaValle Stadium. With the win – Stony Brook's 11th-straight – the Seawolves improve to 16-1 and 6-0 in the America East, while the River Hawks close 2017 at 7-9 and 1-5 in conference play.
 

 
By the Numbers
- Junior Kylie Ohlmiller (Islip, N.Y.) tallied three goals and five assists to up her season points total to 130 on 63 goals and 67 assists. Ohlmiller enters the America East tournament 18 points back of the Division I single-season record of 148 set by Maryland's Jen Adams in 2001.
- Freshman Taryn Ohlmiller (Islip, N.Y.) had a game-high five goals and added two assists. Ohlmiller leads all Division I freshmen with 82 points this season.
- Senior Dorrien Van Dyke (Northport, N.Y.) recorded four goals, two assists and five draw controls.
- Sophomore Keri McCarthy (Hauppauge, N.Y.) notched two goals, one assist and six draw controls.
- Freshman Ally Kennedy (North Babylon, N.Y.) had a two-goal game for the Seawolves.
- Three seniors – Alyssa Guido (Rocky Point, N.Y.), Sam Jaffe (Naples, Fla.) and Kristin Yevoli (Massapequa, N.Y.) – also found the back the net, as did junior Emma Schait (Seaford, N.Y.)
- Redshirt-junior Brooke Gubitosi (East Northport, N.Y.) collected four ground balls and four caused turnovers, while sophomore Mackenzie Burns (West Sayville, N.Y.) recorded three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
- Sophomore Anna Tesoriero (Huntington, N.Y.) made six saves as she improved her nation-leading goals-against average to 6.88.
 
Notes
- Stony Brook improves to 3-0 all-time against UMass Lowell.
- The Seawolves won their 18th-straight home game Saturday and improved to 55-5 (.917) at LaValle Stadium under Coach Spallina.
- Stony Brook completed the regular season 6-0 in the America East for the third consecutive year.
- Kylie Ohlmiller's 67 assists are the sixth-most in a single season in NCAA history.
