ITHACA, N.Y.—The Stony Brook softball team traveled to Ithaca, New York for their third conference series of the year to take on the Bearcats of Binghamton. In the two games the Seawolves totaled 17 hits and 19 runs.

"Tough games today in tough conditions. Our offensive approach in game one set the tone. One bad defensive inning in game two opened the door for Binghamton. We look to put together all three facets of our play tomorrow and come out with great energy to win the series," said head coach

Game 1: Stony Brook 13, Binghamton 7
- The Seawolves got on the board first as Ileana Torres (Debary, Fla.) singled and then Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) sent one over the left field fence.
- Binghamton answered in the bottom of the first scoring two runs on one hit.
- Riley Craig (Thornton, Colo.) lead off the second inning with a single. Chelsea Evans (Merced, Calif.) reached on fielder's choice moving Craig to second, Nicole McCarvill (Clifton Park, N.Y.) singled to load the bases. Craig scored on a wild pitch and then Evans and McCarvill scored on a fielder's choice. Rahrich picked up her second hit of the game with a single to center field and then scored on double by Irene Rivera (Sylmar, Calif.)
- The Bearcats cut the Seawolves lead to three in the bottom of the third scoring one run on two hits.
- In the top of the fourth Stony Brook picked up two more runs as Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.) lead off the inning with a single and Rahrich walked. The two would score after Taylor Pechin (Harrington, Del.) sent one into left field.
- Rahrich picked up her third hit of the game with bases loaded scoring Craig. Rivera followed with a single to right field scoring McCarvill to increase Stony Brook's lead to 10-3.
- Stony Brook added to their lead in the top of the seventh scoring three runs on one hit.
- Binghamton fought back in the bottom of the seventh inning scoring four runs on five hits.
Game 2: Binghamton 10, Stony Brook 6
- Stony Brook got on the board first as Jourdin Hering led off the game with a single to center field, but would end up getting out on a fielder's choice. With two outs and Rahrich on first Irene Rivera sent one over the left field fence putting the Seawolves up 2-0.
- Binghamton would answer scoring one run on one hit in the bottom of the first.
- The Bearcats would take the lead in the bottom of the second inning scoring six runs on three hits and three Stony Brook errors.
- Stony Brook would cut Binghamton's lead to 6-7 in the top of the third scoring six runs on two hits and three Bearcat errors.
- Binghamton added one run in the bottom of the third with a solo homerun.
- After two scoreless innings Binghamton would pick up two more runs on one hit to make the score 10-6.
