Bryant's Thoughts
"It's tough to see the season end but we fought hard to extend it today. We played a terrific game against Maine in terms fo pitching, defense and execution. We started off well vs Albany but they got their bats going and that was the difference. We were a much improved team this year and look forward to what lies ahead," said head coach Megan T. Bryant

Game 1: Stony Brook 2, Maine 0
  • After five scoreless innings Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.) got the Seawolves going with a double to center field. Melissa Rahrich (Brighton, Colo.) followed with an infield single and loaded the bases. After a 14 pitch Irene Rivera (Sylmar, Calif.) drew a walk and scoring Hering.
  • Stony Brook added to their lead in the bottom of the sixth after Nicole McCarvill (Clifton Park, N.Y.) doubled down the left field line and then advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt. McCarvill would score on a pinch hit sacrifice fly by Allyssa Malony (Runnemede,  N.J.).
