STONY BROOK, N.Y- The Stony Brook women's tennis team open up their fall schedule at home with the 13th Annual Stony Brook Classic.
 
The Seawolves will be joined by: Army, Fordham, Hofstra, LIU, Navy, Quinnipiac and Rhode Island. 
 
Matches will begin Friday, September 7th at 11 a.m. with two rounds of doubles followed by one round of singles. Saturday will begin at 9 a.m. and consist of one round of semifinal doubles followed by singles quarter, semi-finals and consolation. Sunday will also begin at 9 a.m. and will be singles and doubles finals for main-draw and consolation. 
 
Matches will be played at both Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Prep School.
 
"We're excited to welcome seven schools to campus this weekend.This tournament is always a good event as the competition is very solid. Our squad is on the younger side this season as we'll have three freshmen and two sophomores composing the bulk of the line-up. After this weekend we'll have a more clear picture of where things stand and what we need to focus on moving forward," said head coach Gary Glassman.
