STONY BROOK, N.Y.- The Stony Brook women's tennis team is set to take on NJIT and Lehigh this week. The Seawolves will travel to NJIT first on Friday, and Lehigh on Saturday.
Friday's match will begin at 3 pm, and Saturday's will be at 2 pm.
Coach Glassman's Thoughts
"This weekend will be another very challenging pair of matches. We lost to NJIT last season and barely squeaked by Lehigh. NJIT is an excellent indoor team and they look to end the point very early. We'll need to stay patient and have enough discipline to play our style of setting up the point and not trying to match pace with them. These are the type of matches we'll need to get tougher as we build upon our season," said head coach
Gary Glassman.
Last Time Out
The Seawolves won their first dual match of the 2019 season, defeating Army 4-3 on Saturday. In doubles, Wei/Cardoso and Ribeiro/Bekirova took home victories, and in singles
Jamie Wei,
Nolwenn Cardoso, and
Sasha Bekirova were on top.
