TOWSON, Md. – The No. 10 Stony Brook women's lacrosse team got back to its winning ways on Friday night, topping Towson, 14-8, at Johnny Unitas Stadium.

QUOTING HEAD COACHÂ Joe Spallina
"Tonight was an important game for us coming off of a tough loss and we were excited to see our response to adversity. I liked the growth this past week in preparing for a very good Towson team. It was great seeing some different players step up tonight and make a major impact. That's what a team is all about. We are excited to get back for our home opener on Sunday in front of the best college lacrosse fans against a very good Stanford team. It's a quick turnaround so we will be studying hard. The team has their scouting reports ready as we prep for a huge test."
