Stony Brook Tops Vermont to Remain Perfect in Conference Action

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team kept things rolling on Saturday afternoon, topping Vermont by a score of 17-2 to notch its third-straight win and to jump out to a perfect 4-0 record in America East play.

QUOTING HEAD COACH Joe Spallina
"I'm proud of our team for coming out today and taking care of business from the start. We have a ton of respect for Vermont but it is all about us and being the best version of ourselves. Our kids stepped up early and often on both ends of the field and did that. We have a huge non-conference game on Tuesday playing a top-ranked Hopkins team on the road and what a great test that will be for our team. The bottom line for us is growth and we are growing as a team as is our confidence and experience."
