PHILADELPHIA — The Stony Brook women's swimming and diving team finally had the opportunity to return to action Saturday.
The Seawolves competed against La Salle in Philadelphia, falling to the host school, 121-81.
Among the events won by Stony Brook included the 200-yard medley relay, with Briana Lew,
Jessica Salmon, Madison Enda and
Lara Youssef. The quartet finished in a time of 1:52.39.
Amanda Heinz and Salmon finished 1-2 in the 100-yard breaststroke,
"Today was the first time in more than a year that most of our women had an opportunity to race," coach
Kerry Smith said. "We went in looking to compete, learn from our races and enjoy the process. I believe we took advantage of that. I am looking to take what we learned and apply it to these next few weeks of training and upcoming meets. I'm proud of these women."
