Women's Tennis Drops Match at Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, Conn. — The Stony Brook tennis team was able to snag a pair of singles wins on the night, but Quinnipiac controlled overall, sending the Seawolves to a 5-2 defeat on Saturday night.

Kristine Theys and Sara Medved each grabbed a singles victory but the host Bobcats took the rest, sending Stony Brook to its second loss in as many nights in the state this weekend.

Theys made quick work of Dominique Vasile at No.4 singles, winning 6-1, 6-2, while Medved took the first and third sets of her match at No. 5 by 6-2 margins en route to her first collegiate singles victory in a dual match.

UP NEXT
The Seawolves head back to Connecticut for a pair of matches next weekend, starting with Sacred Heart on Friday at 11:30 a.m., before a Saturday date with Fairfield.
