WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Stony Brook tennis team (1-1) faced off against the Army Black Knights in a road match on Sunday night and fell in a tight battle, 4-3, at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
Graduate
Loreto Villalba-Rubio, freshman
Kristi Boro, and senior
Mathilde Sreeves headlined the match for the Seawolves.
Each earned a win in their singles matches, with Boro winning in straight sets and Villalba-Rubio and Sreeves earning the win in three sets.
Freshman
Debby Mastrodima put up a hard fight after dropping her first set 2-6, coming back in the second set to win 6-1. She ultimately fell in the final set.

Stony Brook will hit the court again on Friday, Feb. 10, when it travels to Fairfield to take on the Stags. The match will begin at 8 p.m.
