WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Stony Brook tennis team (6-4, 2-0 CAA) battled the Towson Tigers (3-5, 1-3 CAA) on the road on Thursday night and picked up their most dominant win of the season, 6-0.
In their second CAA victory of the season, the Seawolves were led by a plethora of student athletes who all recorded multiple victories and did not have any member of the squad record a loss in the victory.
The tandem of graduate Loreto Villalba-Rubio and freshman
Kristi Boro got the match going with a strong 6-1 victory. Then, the duo of senior
Kristine Theys and freshman
Debby Mastrodima followed with a 6-3 victory and junior
Chandrika Joshi and senior
Mathilde Sreeves capped off the dominant doubles performances with a 6-0 win.
In singles, Rubio, Boro, Theys, Mastrodima, and Joshi all collected victories in their single performances, giving Stony Brook the 6-0 victory.
