STONY BROOK, N.Y. — From start to finish, the Stony Brook tennis program was able to control their match this afternoon against Wagner, securing its first win of the 2023 spring campaign at University Courts by a 6-1 decision over the Seahawks.
The squad took doubles, with senior Kristine Theys and first year student
Debby Mastrodima taking a 6-3 victory and the squad taking the points due to a default win, giving themselves the early advantage.
In singles play, the squad was paced by first year student Kristi Boro, senior Mathilde Sreeves, and sophomore Sara Annamaria Medved all earned straight-set victories. The squad would go on to ultimately win 6-1 to improve their record on the season to 7-6 overall.
