STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Stony Brook tennis team earned their third win in a row and 12th consecutive victory over Binghamton University in their final home match of the season at University Courts this afternoon.
Before the match, the Seawolves honored graduate Loreto Villalba-Rubio, senior
Kristine Theys, and senior
Mathilde Sreeves who have made lasting impacts on the Stony Brook tennis program. Their hard work, dedication, and contributions to the program have and always will be greatly appreciated.
Beginning the afternoon in double's play for Stony Brook was Rubio and first-year student Kristi Boro earning a perfect 6-0 victory, followed by junior Chandrika Joshi and first-year student Debby Mastrodima also earning the 6-0 sweep. The senior duo of Theys and Sreeves notched a 6-2 victory in their final double's match at University Courts.
All six student-athletes earned the victory in singles by taking their matches in straight sets. The Seawolves did not drop a match against the Bearcats to take the 7-0 victory and capture a perfect victory for the third time this season.

The Seawolves will head to Williamsburg, Virginia next weekend for the 2023 CAA Team Championships. The Championships are set to begin on Thursday, April 20.
