STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Today, Stony Brook Athletics announced a partnership with FanWord and its storytelling product, FanWord Stories, to help Stony Brook student-athletes tell their stories and build their brands. Stony Brook becomes the first CAA institution to partner with FanWord.
FanWord is one of the leading storytelling and brand development companies in the NIL industry, specializing in helping student-athletes build, grow, and monetize their personal brands.
FanWord's storytelling product, FanWord Stories, focuses on producing authentic athlete features for athletic departments all over the country, including schools like Alabama, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Memphis.
"Storytelling has always been a part of our department's DNA and we are excited to announce our partnership with FanWord to elevate the voices of our student-athletes," said Stony Brook Director of Athletics Shawn Heilbron. "Providing our student-athletes with a platform to share their stories in an authentic way will allow them to have deeper connections with our Long Island community and beyond."
All stories will be a part of a new feature series called "Seawolves Stories" – a campaign dedicated to connecting Stony Brook's fans and student-athletes on a more personal level.
