Seawolves Race at UConn, Franks Takes First in 400-Meter

STORRS, Conn. – The Stony Brook University men's track and field program competed at the UConn Northeast Challenge on Saturday. As he has done all season long, George Franks impressed individually, winning the 400-meter with a personal-best time.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Franks' 46.72 clocking in the 400-meter was a personal-best time, good enough for first place. He also placed second in the 200-meter event, racing to a 20.95 finish.
  • Seth Hilario placed ninth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.80.
  • The quartet of David Onovo, Franks, Hilario and Alexander Kanes took eighth in the 4x100-meter relay (42.76).
NEXT UP
The Seawolves are slated to compete at both the Virginia Challenge, hosted by the University of Virginia, and the Mark Young Invitational, hosted by Yale. The Virginia Challenge begins on Friday, April 19 and concludes the following day. The Mark Young Invitational is a one-day event hosted on Saturday, April 20 in New Haven, Connecticut.
