STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook tennis head coach
Thiago Dualiby has officially announced the addition of Laura Ozola to the program's signing class of 2025.
Ozola, a native of Riga, Latvia has signed her National Letter of Intent and will enroll at Stony Brook and begin competing for the program in the 2025-26 athletic year.

Thiago Dualiby. "She has a complete game style that will be exciting to see further develop. It was clear through the recruiting process that she is a hard worker, self driven, sets high goals for herself and is a wonderful person that cares for the people around her. I am confident that she will have a positive impact not only on our program, but on the university and our community as well."
Ozola brings an impressive resume of national and international success to Stony Brook. Over the course of her career, she has claimed two U18 Latvian National Doubles Championship titles and the U16 Latvian National Doubles Championship. She has also won three J60 International Federation Tennis (ITF) doubles titles and two J30 doubles titles. In singles competition, she was a finalist for the U18 Latvian National Singles Championship.
Ozola has been playing tennis since the age of 11 and reached an ITF junior ranking of 970 as of September 30, 2024.
In addition to her accomplishments on the court, Ozola excelled academically. She graduated from Riga State Gymnasium No. 2, where she distinguished herself by running a "mock company" that was nominated for the best brand in Latvia.
The Stony Brook tennis program is thrilled to welcome Laura Ozola to the Seawolves family.
